Jackson Eagle Scout Continues Renovation of Camp Joy Basketball Court

JACKSON, NJ—The first phase of Jackson Township Eagle Scout James Gibbons’ project to renovate the basketball court at Camp Joy has been successfully completed.

The project, which involved applying 100 gallons of sealer to the court surface, has significantly enhanced the community facility’s appearance and durability.

Gibbons and his team of helpful volunteers will return early next week, weather permitting, to paint the lines on the court. They will finish painting the backboards and replacing the basketball hoops, further revitalizing the playing area.

Jackson Township Council President Jennifer Kuhn commended the volunteers and the Boy Scouts.

“Thank you for choosing a project to improve our park,” she said. “It looks great and shows what can be done when residents of the community pitch in to help keep our town beautiful.”
