Teen Shot in Southeast D.C., Police Investigating

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) is investigating a shooting that occurred early Sunday morning in Southeast D.C. A 17-year-old boy was shot in the 5000 block of Call Place SE.

The incident was reported shortly after 3 a.m. on August 18, 2024. According to MPD, the teen was found conscious and breathing at the scene. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Police have not released any information regarding suspects or the circumstances surrounding the shooting. The investigation is ongoing.
