Police Investigate Shooting in Woodbridge, One Injured

WOODBRIDGE, Va. — Authorities are investigating a shooting that occurred on Sunday evening, August 18, 2024, in the 12700 block of Dulcinea Place. The incident, which took place around 7:27 p.m., involved two groups exchanging gunfire before fleeing the scene in two vehicles.

According to the Prince William County Police Department, the vehicles involved were described as a gold minivan and a silver sedan. Officers responding to the scene discovered three unoccupied vehicles that had been struck by gunfire. Shell casings were also found on the ground.

No individuals involved in the shooting were located at the scene. However, while investigating the incident, officers were informed that a 19-year-old man was being treated at a local hospital for non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. The man has reportedly refused to cooperate with detectives regarding the incident.

No additional injuries or property damage have been reported at this time.

The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are urging anyone with information about the incident to contact the Prince William County Police Department.
