Barber, now faces multiple charges, including possession of heroin, driving while intoxicated, and possession of an open container of alcohol in his motor vehicle.

Patrolman Wayne Jackson of the Toms River Police Department conducted the welfare check on August 16, 2024, after noticing the suspicious vehicle. Upon investigation, Barber was found to be in possession of heroin and appeared to be under the influence. Additionally, an open container of alcohol was discovered inside the vehicle.
