One Person Injured in Attack and Robbery in the Bronx

NEW YORK, N.Y. — The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying two individuals sought in connection with a robbery that occurred in the Bronx early Sunday morning.

According to police, the incident took place on August 11, 2024, at approximately 5:30 a.m. in the vicinity of East 222nd Street and White Plains Road. A 24-year-old male victim was approached by two unknown individuals while sitting in his car.

The individuals brandished a firearm and struck the victim multiple times in the face before fleeing the scene in the victim’s vehicle. The suspects fled to an unknown location.

The victim sustained facial injuries and was transported by EMS to NYC Health and Hospitals/Jacobi.

Authorities are urging anyone with information regarding the incident to come forward. “This is what happened,” the New York City Police Department said in a statement.
