BOSTON, MASS. — A 17-year-old male was arrested early Friday morning on firearm charges after officers from District B-2 (Roxbury) conducted a traffic stop in the area of Glenway Street and Erie Street. The arrest occurred at approximately 1:02 a.m. on August 23, 2024.

Officers on patrol observed a vehicle with excessively tinted windows and began to follow it. The vehicle abruptly pulled over at the intersection of Kingsdale Street and Bernard Street, prompting officers to initiate a traffic stop. During the stop, officers noticed that the vehicle displayed a rejected inspection sticker, which did not belong to the vehicle.

Upon further investigation, officers requested the occupants to exit the vehicle. The driver was released from the scene following the investigation.

The juvenile was arrested and charged with Delinquent to wit; Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Delinquent to wit; Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, and Delinquent to wit; Unlawful Possession of Large Capacity Feeding Device. He is scheduled to be arraigned in Boston Juvenile Court.
