Decomposed Body Found In Wooded Area In Woodbridgee

Woodbridge, Va. – A death investigation is underway after the discovery of a decomposed body in a wooded area in Woodbridge on the evening of August 21.

Officers responded to the 1700 block of Featherstone Rd. at approximately 9:21 p.m. after receiving a report of a body found near the location. Upon arrival, they discovered the remains of a presumed adult male in a state of decomposition.

The body was transported to the Medical Examiner’s Office, where an autopsy will be conducted to confirm the individual’s identity and determine the cause of death.

Authorities have stated that there is no immediate threat to the community related to this death.

The investigation is ongoing, and more information will be released as it becomes available.
