35-Year-Old Man Fatally Shot in Kensington

PHILADELPHIA — A 35-year-old man was shot and killed in the Kensington neighborhood of Philadelphia on Friday night, according to police. Officers from the 24th District responded to a report of a “Person with a Gun” at the intersection of Kensington Avenue and Tusculum Street at approximately 10:25 p.m.

Upon arrival, officers discovered the victim with gunshot wounds to his abdomen. He was immediately transported to Temple University Hospital by police, where he was pronounced dead at 10:56 p.m., according to the Philadelphia Police Department.

The Homicide Unit is currently investigating the incident. No arrests have been made, and the motive for the shooting remains unclear.
