Boston Police Investigating Fatal Shooting in Dorchester

BOSTON, Mass. — A man has died following a shooting in Dorchester on Saturday night, according to the Boston Police Department.

Officers from District C-11 (Dorchester) responded to a report of a person shot in the area of 519 Washington Street at approximately 9:58 p.m. on August 24, 2024. Upon arrival, officers found an adult male suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries but was later pronounced deceased.

The Boston Police Department’s Homicide Unit is actively investigating the incident and reviewing the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
