Brooklyn Grocery Store Clerk Shot During Attempted Robbery in Park Slope

BROOKLYN, N.Y. — A grocery store clerk was shot during an attempted robbery at a supermarket in Brooklyn’s Park Slope neighborhood on Friday afternoon, according to police.

The incident occurred around 3 p.m. at the Royal Supermarket, located on 8th Avenue near 15th Street. The would-be robber entered the store brandishing a firearm and demanded cash from the clerk.

During the failed stickup, the suspect shot the clerk before fleeing the scene. The condition of the clerk has not been released, and authorities are investigating the incident.

No arrests have been made, and the NYPD is actively searching for the suspect. Anyone with information about the robbery is urged to contact the police.
