Drunken Woman Charged for Crash That Seriously Injured Multiple Victims

GREENSBURG, Pa. — A North Versailles woman has pleaded guilty to charges stemming from a serious three-vehicle accident that occurred in March 2022. Slobodanka Bulatovic, 48, entered her guilty plea on August 27, 2024, before Westmoreland County Common Pleas Judge Meagan Bilik-DeFazio. Bulatovic was charged with driving under the influence (DUI) after causing the crash on Route 30 near Skellytown Road in North Huntingdon Township.

According to authorities, Bulatovic was intoxicated at the time of the crash and failed to apply her brakes before colliding with two other vehicles. The accident resulted in injuries to six people, although none of the injuries were reported to be life-threatening. The North Huntingdon Township Police conducted the investigation, which was critical in securing the guilty plea.

Bulatovic is scheduled to be sentenced within the next 90 days by Judge Bilik-DeFazio. The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Allen Powanda, who pursued the charges on behalf of the Commonwealth.

Westmoreland County District Attorney Nicole W. Ziccarelli acknowledged the work of the North Huntingdon Township Police and expressed her appreciation for their thorough investigation. “This case highlights the severe consequences of impaired driving,” DA Ziccarelli said in a statement, underscoring the ongoing commitment to prosecuting DUI offenses in the county.
