NYPD Investigates Assault Incident Near West Stree

New York, NY – The NYPD is investigating an assault that took place Saturday morning near West Street and Westgate Circle in New York. At approximately 8:50 a.m., two men were walking towards each other on the sidewalk when a confrontation occurred.

The victim reported that the suspect, described as a white male carrying a backpack and umbrella, failed to yield and forcibly struck him in the chest.

The suspect then allegedly threatened to “blast” the victim while using racial slurs. Despite the altercation, both individuals continued walking in their respective directions. The victim declined medical attention and reported no physical injuries. No weapon was displayed during the incident.
