Firefighters Rescue Several as Fire Erupts at Frederick Restaurant

FREDERICK COUNTY, Md. — Firefighters in Frederick County rescued several individuals after a fire erupted at a restaurant on Tuesday morning, according to local officials.

The fire broke out just before 9:30 a.m. at the River Bar and Grill on the 100 block of North Market Street. Crews from Frederick County Fire and Rescue quickly responded to the scene and managed to save multiple people from the burning building.

As firefighters battled the blaze, Market Street was shut down between Church Street and 3rd Street. The fire also affected two neighboring buildings, displacing residents from 10 units.

One person was evaluated by medics at the scene, but no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
