NYPD Seeks Public’s Help Identifying Suspect in Harlem Shooting Attempt

HARLEM, N.Y. — The New York City Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect involved in an attempted assault that took place early Thursday morning in Harlem.

The incident occurred around 2:30 a.m. on August 22,, within the confines of the 32nd Precinct. According to police, an unknown individual brandished a firearm and fired multiple rounds at a group of three men. Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident.

The suspect fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction, police said.

The individual is described as a male with a dark complexion and a slim build. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, light-colored sweatpants, and black sneakers with white soles.

The NYPD has released an image of the suspect and is urging anyone with information to come forward.
