Police Seek Suspect in Bronx Sexual Assault Incident

BRONX, N.Y. — A 19-year-old woman was assaulted in broad daylight on Saturday morning in the Bronx, prompting police to seek the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect.

The incident occurred at approximately 9:30 a.m. on August 24, 2024, in front of 610 Exterior Street. According to the New York City Police Department, the victim was walking along the street when an unknown individual ran up from behind and grabbed her buttocks.

The suspect then pulled down the victim’s pants, exposing her private areas, before fleeing on foot southbound toward River Avenue, police said. The victim was not physically injured during the incident.

The suspect is described as a male with a medium complexion and slim build. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black sweatpants, and black sneakers.

The NYPD is asking anyone with information regarding the suspect to contact them as the investigation continues.
