Baltimore HVAC Technician Strikes Gold with $50K Scratch-Off Win

BALTIMORE, MD— A Baltimore HVAC technician has won a $50,000 top prize from the Maryland Lottery’s Gold Bar Bingo game. The fortunate win came after the man purchased the scratch-off ticket at Normandy Wine & Spirits in Ellicott City while cashing in a previous $50 win.

The technician, who regularly plays the Gold Bar Bingo 5th Edition, initially missed the winning combination on the ticket. It wasn’t until he scanned it with his Lottery app the following day that he realized he had won the game’s top prize.

The winner plans to use the $50,000 to address bills and medical expenses for his family. He described the win as a timely and significant relief for his household.
