Gloucester Township Officer Gets Tangled Up Solving Playground Problem

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, N.J. — A Gloucester Township police officer brought smiles to children at Wye Oak Park on Thursday after resolving an unusual predicament involving the park’s swing set.

Officer Pat Martina was dispatched to the park following reports that someone had deliberately tangled the swings around the upper post, rendering them unusable. Upon arrival, Martina quickly assessed the situation and took action.

Demonstrating agility, the officer climbed the chains and untangled the swings, restoring the equipment to working order. The incident ended with local children able to enjoy the swings once again.

“Ptl. Martina is here to save the day!” the Gloucester Township Police Department shared in a social media post, praising the officer’s quick response and light-hearted approach to the situation.
