Man Shot in Baltimore’s Central District, Police Investigating

BALTIMORE — A 34-year-old man is recovering after being shot in Baltimore’s Central District on Wednesday evening. The Baltimore Police Department reported that the incident occurred on August 28, 2024, at approximately 7:38 p.m.

According to authorities, Central District patrol officers were dispatched to a local hospital after receiving a report of a walk-in shooting victim. Upon arrival, officers encountered the victim, who was suffering from a gunshot wound to his right thigh. Medical staff have listed him in stable condition.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the shooting took place in the 900 block of Myrtle Avenue. The circumstances leading up to the shooting remain unclear, and the police have not released information on a potential suspect.

Detectives from the Western District Shooting unit have taken over the investigation. Law enforcement officials are asking anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
