Off-Duty NYPD Auxiliary Police Officer Arrested for Assault in Queens

NEW YORK, Aug. 30 — An off-duty NYPD Auxiliary Police Officer was arrested early Friday morning in Queens. The officer, identified as 34-year-old Ryehan Chubhahan, was taken into custody at approximately 5:15 a.m. within the confines of the 114th Precinct.

Chubhahan has been charged with Assault in the 3rd Degree, according to a statement released by the New York City Police Department. Details regarding the circumstances leading to the arrest have not been disclosed.

The incident is under investigation, and no further information has been provided about the events that preceded the arrest. The NYPD has not released any statements regarding the officer’s current status within the department.
