Man Fatally Shot in Brooklyn; Suspect Remains at Large

BROOKLYN, N.Y. — A 37-year-old man was shot and killed Sunday morning in the Crown Heights neighborhood of Brooklyn. Police responded to a 911 call at approximately 8:11 a.m. reporting a shooting near the intersection of St. Johns Place and Troy Avenue, within the confines of the 77th Precinct.

Upon arrival, officers were informed that the victim, identified as Donnell Thomas, had been shot in the chest by an unidentified individual. The suspect fled the scene and remains at large.

Thomas was transported by private means to NYC Health and Hospitals/Kings County, where he was pronounced dead.

No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.
