23-Year-Old Motorcyclist Killed in Hyattsville Crash

HYATTSVILLE, Md. — The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal motorcycle crash that occurred on Saturday afternoon in Hyattsville. The victim has been identified as 23-year-old Angel Aguilar of University Park.

The crash took place at approximately 3:05 p.m. on August 31, 2024, in the 4300 block of East West Highway. Officers from the Hyattsville City Police Department responded to the scene and found Aguilar on a sidewalk after his motorcycle collided with an SUV. Aguilar was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the SUV, who remained on the scene, was not injured. Detectives are currently working to determine the cause of the collision.

The Prince George’s County Police Department is handling the investigation, as it does with all fatal crashes in the city of Hyattsville.
