18-year-old arrested for gun-related threats in downtown Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH — Officers from the Downtown Public Safety Center arrested an 18-year-old male on September 3 after he allegedly threatened a man with a firearm on Penn Avenue in the Central Business District.

Police recovered two firearms from the suspect’s backpack, one of which had been reported stolen. The suspect, identified as Tymozh Toles, now faces several charges, including carrying a firearm without a license, receiving stolen property, recklessly endangering another person, and simple assault.

Toles was taken into custody and transported to the Allegheny County Jail.
