Myrtle Beach to host National Night Out this fall

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — The Myrtle Beach Police Department is hosting a National Night Out event on Tuesday, October 1, at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center. The free event will take place from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and aims to strengthen ties between law enforcement and the local community.

Attendees will have the opportunity to meet police officers from various units, including SWAT, K9, and bike patrol. The event will also feature representatives from the Myrtle Beach public works department, fire department, and EMS teams.

A dessert contest organized by the neighborhood watch group is scheduled, with participants competing for top honors. The event will include vendors and activities designed to engage the community.
