Fugitive NYC Rape Suspect Caught on Camera in Brooklyn

BROOKLYN, N.Y. — The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a man wanted in connection with a rape that occurred in Brownsville on Friday, August 30, 2024.

According to police, the incident took place at approximately 3:02 p.m. at the corner of Junius Street and Blake Avenue. A 22-year-old female victim was engaged in a conversation with an unidentified man when he pushed her to the ground and forced her to engage in sexual intercourse. The suspect fled the scene on foot, last seen heading southbound on Junius Street towards Blake Avenue.

Emergency Medical Services transported the victim to a nearby hospital, where she was treated for her injuries.

The suspect is described as a male, approximately 6’1″ tall, with a slim build and dark complexion. He was last seen wearing a black and white hat with the word “NEW YORK” written on it, a black t-shirt, dark-colored pants, and black and white sneakers.

The NYPD urges anyone with information regarding the identity or whereabouts of the suspect to contact authorities.
