Vehicle crashes into Bayville home, causing significant damage

BAYVILLE, N.J. — A single-vehicle crash into a home caused extensive damage in Bayville on August 2, according to the Berkeley Township Police.

Officers responded to Spanish Wells Street after receiving a report of the crash. The driver, identified as Debra King, 35, of Seaside Heights, lost control of her vehicle while attempting a U-turn to park, striking a gas meter and crashing partially into the garage of a neighboring home.

No injuries were reported, but the garage area sustained significant damage. New Jersey Natural Gas and the Berkeley Township Construction Official were called to the scene to assess the situation. King was issued a summons for careless driving following the investigation.
