54-year-old injured in Baltimore shooting, suffers graze wound to the head

BALTIMORE — Police are investigating an early morning shooting in the Southwest District that left a 54-year-old man with a graze wound to the head. The incident occurred on Wednesday at approximately 1:35 a.m. when the victim arrived at a local hospital seeking treatment.

According to authorities, the victim was involved in a physical altercation in the 2100 block of Wilkens Avenue when the shooting took place. The man’s injuries were non-life-threatening, and he was treated for the wound.

Southwest District detectives are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting. No further details about the suspect or the altercation have been released.
