Man Fatally Shot in Queens; Investigation Ongoing

QUEENS, N.Y. — A man was fatally shot in the head on Wednesday afternoon in Queens, police said. Officers responded to a 911 call at approximately 4:33 p.m. near the intersection of Humphreys Street and 27th Avenue in the 115th Precinct.

Upon arrival, officers found an unidentified male with a gunshot wound to the head. Emergency Medical Services transported the victim to NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst, where he was pronounced dead.

The identity of the deceased is pending notification of family members. No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.

Authorities are urging anyone with information to contact the NYPD.
