Man shot on Market-Frankford Line platform, suspect in custody

PHILADELPHIA — A 23-year-old man was shot multiple times on the westbound platform of the Market-Frankford Line at North 15th Street and Market Street on Tuesday afternoon, police said. The shooting occurred around 3:24 p.m.

SEPTA police transported the victim to Jefferson University Hospital, where he is listed in stable condition. The victim remains in police custody.

Authorities have secured the scene, and a suspect is in custody. A weapon was recovered, though further details regarding the incident have not been released.

The investigation is ongoing, and no further information is available at this time.
