NYPD seeks suspect in forcible touching incident in Upper East Side

NEW YORK — The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a man wanted in connection with a forcible touching incident that occurred on Saturday, August 17, 2024, in the Upper East Side.

At approximately 4:00 p.m., a 20-year-old female employee was working inside a commercial establishment near Lexington Avenue and East 86th Street when an unidentified man approached her from behind and grabbed her buttocks, according to police. The suspect fled the scene shortly after. The victim was not injured.

The suspect is described as a male last seen wearing a black shirt, blue jeans, and a light-colored baseball cap.

Anyone with information regarding the suspect or incident is encouraged to contact the NYPD.
