Police seek suspect in Bronx cellphone theft

BRONX, N.Y. — A 17-year-old girl was the victim of a cellphone theft on the morning of Tuesday, September 3, 2024, according to police. The incident occurred around 9:25 a.m. near the intersection of Williamsbridge Road and Allerton Avenue.

An unidentified male suspect on a moped approached the victim and snatched her cellphone from her hand before fleeing in an unknown direction. The victim was not injured in the incident.

Police are investigating the theft and are asking anyone with information to contact them. No further details about the suspect have been provided at this time.
