Toms River sensory trailer available at Comfort Food Festival

TOMS RIVER, N.J. — The Toms River Township Mayor’s Special Needs Advisory Council will provide a sensory trailer at the upcoming Comfort Food Festival, the township government announced Wednesday. The festival, organized by the Toms River Business Improvement District, will take place on September 21 from 12 to 6 p.m. at the corner of Washington and Robbins Street.

The sensory trailer is designed to offer a calming environment for individuals with sensory sensitivities who may need a quiet space during the event. It is part of the township’s ongoing efforts to make community events more inclusive.

The Comfort Food Festival will feature a variety of food vendors, local businesses, and family-friendly activities.
