Mt. Airy Army Veteran’s Calm Reaction to $50,000 Lottery Win

Lottery Scratch Off Tickets

MT. AIRY, MARYLAND – A retired U.S. Army veteran from Mt. Airy had a reserved response to his $50,000 win on a Maryland Lottery scratch-off, stating that money doesn’t easily excite him.

The veteran, who transitioned from playing cards to lottery games after leaving the service, claimed his prize at Maryland Lottery headquarters earlier this week.

The veteran’s win came from a $10 Money Rush scratch-off ticket purchased at a Walmart in Glen Burnie. Despite his calm demeanor, the veteran expressed his enjoyment of the Lottery, noting that he only plays with discretionary funds. Accompanied by his youngest daughter, who hinted at receiving a portion of the prize, the veteran assured that all four of his grown children would not be forgotten.

The Money Rush scratch-off still has seven $50,000 prizes and six $100,000 top prizes available.
