Washington County woman wins $50,000 on Jumbo Cash scratch-off

Lottery scratch off tickets for sale

WILLIAMSPORT, Md. — A Washington County woman is celebrating after winning $50,000 on a Maryland Lottery Jumbo Cash scratch-off ticket. The avid scratch-off player purchased the winning ticket at a Sheetz on East Potomac Street in Williamsport.

The woman, a retired store supervisor, decided to reinvest $12 from previous winning tickets into buying a $10 Jumbo Cash scratch-off. She revealed three matching numbers and two JUMBO symbols, each corresponding to $10,000 prizes, totaling $50,000.

“My head has been in the clouds for the past few days,” the winner said. She shared the good news with her family but has not yet decided how to spend the prize money, beyond easing any financial burdens. In her free time, she enjoys gardening and spending time with loved ones.

The Jumbo Cash game, introduced in April, still has two of its five $250,000 top prizes unclaimed. One more $50,000 prize remains, along with 14 $10,000 prizes and smaller amounts.
