$40,000 Mega Millions ticket sold in Pasadena

PASADENA, Md. — While the $800 million Mega Millions jackpot was won in Texas, a lucky player in Maryland claimed a $40,000 prize from the September 10 drawing, according to the Maryland Lottery. The third-tier winning ticket, initially worth $10,000, quadrupled to $40,000 thanks to the Megaplier option.

The winning ticket was purchased at Dash In #1530, located at 3900 Mountain Road in Pasadena, Anne Arundel County. The winning numbers from the September 10 drawing were 1, 2, 16, 24, 66, with the gold Mega Ball 6 and a Megaplier of x4.

Maryland saw 48,632 winners from this Mega Millions drawing, with prizes ranging from $2 to $40,000. This jackpot, the seventh largest in the game’s history, rolled since June 7, generating a total of $4.4 million in prizes for Maryland players.

Maryland still has unclaimed winning tickets from this jackpot roll, including a second-tier $1 million prize sold in Gaithersburg on July 19 and nine third-tier prizes.
