Alert: Newark Police Seek Public’s Help in Finding Missing 10-Year-Old Boy

NEWARK, N.J. — Authorities in Newark are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing 10-year-old boy who left a note stating that he had run away, officials said Friday.

Tajh Preacher, a Newark resident, was last seen in the 300 block of Chadwick Avenue. He was reported missing earlier in the day after his mother found a handwritten note indicating his intentions to run away, according to Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé.

Tajh is described as 5’2” tall, weighing approximately 120 pounds, with a low haircut and medium brown complexion. He was last seen wearing a brown hooded sweatshirt, a Marvel T-shirt, and red Crocs.

Newark officials are urging anyone with information on Tajh’s whereabouts to contact the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line. Fragé emphasized that all tips are confidential and could lead to a reward.

Authorities are continuing their search efforts and are seeking any assistance the community can provide.
