Delaware State Police arrest man in connection to August road rage shooting

LINCOLN, Del. — Delaware State Police have arrested 35-year-old James Cullen III of Magnolia in connection with a road rage shooting that occurred in Lincoln last month.

On August 28, at approximately 11:41 a.m., troopers responded to a report of a shooting on Issacs Road near Cedar Creek Road. According to police, the victim, who was driving northbound on Issacs Road, was involved in an apparent road rage incident with the driver of a pick-up truck. The driver of the truck allegedly fired a shot at the victim before fleeing the scene. The victim was not injured in the shooting.

Investigators identified the suspect’s vehicle as a Chevrolet Silverado and later determined that Cullen was the individual involved in the incident. A warrant for Cullen’s arrest was issued following the investigation.

On September 13, Cullen turned himself in at Delaware State Police Troop 4. He was charged and arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 2 before being released on a $13,000 secured bond.
