Man in critical condition after assault on southbound ‘A’ train in Queens

QUEENS, N.Y. — A 35-year-old man is in critical condition after being assaulted aboard a southbound “A” train near the 104th Street station on Wednesday afternoon, police said.

The incident occurred at approximately 4:15 p.m. on September 11, 2024. According to authorities, the victim was approached by two unidentified individuals, leading to a verbal dispute. The individuals then began punching the victim repeatedly in the face, causing him to fall to the ground. The assailants proceeded to kick the victim multiple times before fleeing the scene on foot to an unknown location.

The victim was transported to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where he remains in critical condition.

Police are continuing to investigate and are asking anyone with information about the assault or the suspects to contact them.
