WADSWORTH, Ohio — A local couple is celebrating a $10,000 win after purchasing a Hit it Big scratch-off ticket from Buehler’s #8 on Great Oaks Trail, the Ohio Lottery announced Friday.

After mandatory state and federal taxes, which total 28%, the couple will take home approximately $7,200. The winnings will be split evenly, with each receiving around $3,600.

Hit it Big is a $10 scratch-off game offering a top prize of $40,000 a year for 25 years. As of September 13, 2024, three top prizes remain available.
