Off-Duty NYC Correction Officer Arrested in East Harlem

NEW YORK, N.Y. — An off-duty New York City Correction Officer was arrested early Sunday morning in East Harlem, authorities said. Latrice Hogan, 31, was taken into custody within the confines of the 23rd Precinct at approximately 4:49 a.m. on Sept. 15.

Hogan has been charged with second-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, according to police.

The circumstances surrounding the arrest were not immediately disclosed. Hogan remains employed as a New York City Correction Officer as of the time of her arrest. The investigation is ongoing.
