Fugitive teen wanted in connection with shooting incident in Staten Island

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Authorities are searching for a teenager involved in a shooting incident that took place in the 120th Precinct on Wednesday. According to police, the incident occurred at approximately 5:03 p.m. near the intersection of Jersey Street and Winter Avenue.

A 17-year-old male, identified as Nelson Vanleuvan, allegedly discharged a firearm multiple times before fleeing the scene on foot towards Benziger Avenue. No injuries were reported in connection with the shooting, according to officials.

The NYPD is actively searching for Vanleuvan, who is wanted in connection with the endangerment incident. Investigators have not disclosed a possible motive or provided further details on the events leading up to the shooting.

The incident remains under investigation, and police are asking anyone with information to contact the 120th Precinct.
