Shooting Leaves Glenn Burnie Man Dead in Severn

SEVERN, Md. — Police are investigating a fatal shooting in Severn that left a 40-year-old Glen Burnie man dead Sunday night.

Officers responded to the 8000 block of Marlton Court at approximately 8:50 p.m. after receiving reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they found Anthony Lee Brown suffering from multiple gunshot wounds in a wooded area near the end of Marlton Court.

Brown was transported to the University of Maryland Baltimore Washington Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. His remains have been sent to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for an autopsy.

Homicide detectives have taken over the investigation, which police say appears to be a targeted attack. The incident is not believed to be a random act of violence.

Authorities are continuing to investigate and ask anyone with information to contact the Homicide Unit.
