Two women arrested in connection with Shrewsbury bank robbery

SHREWSBURY, Pa. — Two women were arrested on Saturday following a bank robbery at the M&T Bank on E. Forrest Avenue, according to the Southern Regional Police Department.

Officers were dispatched to the bank at approximately 11:21 a.m. on September 14, where they began an investigation into the robbery. Pennsylvania State Police assisted in searching the area for suspects. During the investigation, state police received a call reporting another robbery in progress at the Truist Bank on Susquehanna Trail in Shrewsbury Township.

Responding troopers located the suspects, Andrea Garrett, 39, and Shakim Bryant, 34, both from Baltimore, Md., as they were leaving the Truist Bank. Both women were apprehended and charged in connection with the M&T Bank robbery.

Garrett and Bryant were arraigned at York County Central Booking and committed to York County Prison, with bail set at $100,000 each. The Pennsylvania State Police are investigating the Truist Bank robbery.
