BALTIMORE — Police have arrested 36-year-old Lamont Johnson in connection with the fatal shooting of 22-year-old Tiwan Wilson in August 2023 in the city’s Southwest District.

Investigators determined that Johnson shot and killed Wilson in the 300 block of South Calhoun Street on Aug. 4, 2023. The victim was found inside a vehicle with multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at a hospital shortly after the shooting.

Johnson, who was already in custody at the Central Booking Intake Facility on unrelated gun and drug charges stemming from a Sept. 14, 2024 arrest in the 1900 block of Poplar Grove, has now been charged with first-degree murder in connection to Wilson’s death.

He is currently being held without bail.
