Electronics stolen from vacant Chesapeake business, police seek suspect

CHESAPEAKE, Va. — Authorities are investigating the theft of electronic equipment valued at $2,100 from a vacant business in the 600 block of Jarman Road on Sunday, Sept. 1, according to a statement from the Chesapeake Crime Line.

The suspect reportedly entered the business and took multiple items before fleeing the scene. Police have released no further information regarding the suspect’s identity or vehicle.

Officials are asking anyone with information about the incident to come forward. The public can provide tips through the Chesapeake Crime Line, which offers anonymous reporting.

Individuals with information can contact the Crime Line by calling 1-888-LOCK-U-UP (1-888-562-5887), visiting P3TIPS.COM, or using the P3TIPS app. Callers remain anonymous and are not required to testify in court.

A reward of up to $1,500 may be available for tips leading to an arrest or the recovery of the stolen property.
