Anderson Avenue closed due to water main break in Fort Lee

FORT LEE, N.J. — Anderson Avenue is closed in both directions between Harmon Avenue and Warwick Avenue due to an emergency water main break, according to the Fort Lee Police Department.

The closure was announced on social media Monday, with officials advising that public utility crews are working on site to address the issue. Fort Lee patrol officers are managing traffic in the affected area.

The department reported the closure as an emergency situation and said crews are working to resolve the break as quickly as possible. Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes.

There is no timeline yet for when the road will reopen. Further updates are expected as repairs progress.
