Million Dollar Powerball Ticket Sold in North Jersey

TRENTON, N.J. — A Powerball ticket sold in Essex County matched five white balls, earning the $1 million second-tier prize in Wednesday’s drawing, according to the New Jersey Lottery.

The winning ticket for the Sept. 18 drawing was purchased at Variedades Ecualatinas, located at 262 Ferry St. in Newark. The winning numbers were 01, 11, 22, 47, and 68, with a Red Power Ball number of 07 and a Power Play multiplier of 4X.

A total of 21,504 New Jersey players won prizes in this drawing, with winnings ranging from $4 to $400. Altogether, the prizes amounted to an estimated $150,444.

The Powerball jackpot has rolled to $195 million for the upcoming drawing on Saturday, Sept. 21.

Additionally, the results for the Double Play drawing on Sept. 18 were 16, 23, 50, 53, and 66, with a Double Play Ball number of 14.
