Armed robberies reported in Brooklyn Park and Glen Burnie

BROOKLYN PARK, MD – Anne Arundel County Police officers responded to two armed robberies this week, one at a Brooklyn Park store and another in Glen Burnie.

On Thursday at approximately 2:05 p.m., officers responded to a robbery at the Dollar General located at 5107 Ritchie Highway in Brooklyn Park.

According to investigators, a heavyset Black female suspect entered the store, asked for change, and then lunged over the counter with a knife. She allegedly prevented the cash drawer from closing and removed cash. The suspect then fled in a light blue sedan.

The store employee was not injured. Officers searched the area but could not locate the suspect or vehicle. The Regional Crimes Unit detectives are investigating the incident.
