House Fire in Avalon Receives Multi-Department Response

Avalon, NJ – On Tuesday night, a house fire at 4627 Fourth Avenue prompted a multi-department response.

The Avalon Fire Department and Avalon Rescue Squad arrived at the scene at 10:10 PM. Fire departments from Stone Harbor, Ocean View, and Sea Isle City also responded according to a mutual aid agreement.

Engine 11 found a three-story lightweight wood frame structure, under construction, with heavy fire on the second and third floors. The fire was contained within approximately 75 minutes, and crews continued to address hotspots.

Temporary power disconnections affected several nearby dwellings. The incident was documented on social media by Nina Alvarez and shared on Cape May Fire Wire.
