Tragic Discovery Made After Woman Found Shot in Maryland Home

PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Md. — A woman was discovered shot inside a Fairmont Heights residence late Tuesday night. The Prince George’s County Police Department is investigating the incident.

Officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 500 block of 62nd Avenue around 11 p.m. on September 24. When police arrived, they found the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Police have not released the identity of the victim at this time.

Police are currently working to determine a motive and identify any suspects involved in the shooting.
