Woman Groped on Northbound 6 Train, Suspect Fled

MANHATTAN, N.Y. — Police are investigating an incident in which a woman was groped aboard a northbound 6 train on Thursday morning.

The incident occurred around 8:00 a.m. on September 26, 2024, as the train approached the 51st Street and Lexington Avenue station. A 45-year-old woman reported that an unidentified individual pressed his groin against her buttocks without her consent.

The suspect fled the train and escaped on foot to an unknown location. No injuries were reported.

The NYPD is asking anyone with information about the incident to come forward. The investigation is ongoing.
